As a mental health professional, you want to provide your clients with the best possible care. You want to speak to their unique experiences, address their needs, and provide care that is fat-positive, sex-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-oppressive, and anti-racist.
You want to keep learning and growing both personally and as a professional, but finding the right education that upholds all of these intersecting values is challenging.
The majority of educational conferences and materials out there are based on outdated thinking centered on a cishet, thin, white normative experience, which may not apply to your clients (or you, for that matter!).
You’re tired of all the fatphobic messaging and overall oppressive standards of care. You need education that’s accessible and aligned with your values of social justice and equity.
You crave a community where you can connect with other like-minded professionals. (Because let’s face it, being fat positive in a fatphobic industry isn’t just frustrating—it can get lonely!)
You want to change your field, but you don’t want to do it alone.
And luckily, you don’t have to.
The Ample + RootED Community is an engaging, supportive community of mental health professionals with the shared purpose of body liberation for all and who desire ongoing training, education, and connection. This is a space to deepen understanding and increase your skills in working with eating disorders and body shame.
Imagine a gathering of others in your industry who have moved past the fatphobic, diet culture based framework and instead, have adopted body liberation and are working to make this the norm in our field.
A place where social justice and equity is central to the conversation and the needs of marginalized communities are placed at the forefront. (Read our commitment to social justice here).
A warm and loving community where you can share experiences, learn from others, share resources (and referrals!), and deepen your own self-care practice and journey of personal growth to help build your own resiliency to continue to do this work.
As a member of the Ample + RootED Community, you will be part of a ripple effect for creating a more just and equitable world. No matter your level of experience, you are welcome and wanted here.

Neathery Falchuk (they/them) aims to create a world where everyone can find and access affirming and inclusive therapeutic support. They value being authentic, playful, and fully collaborative with clients on their path of self-exploration and discovery.
As a queer, genderqueer, fat, Latinx therapist, Neathery saw the need for inclusive education from an intersectional and social justice-oriented framework in the therapy community, specifically around eating disorders and body liberation. They founded the Ample + RootED Community to fulfill that need through a community where mental health professionals can come together to receive the education and support necessary to fully support clients on their diverse journeys of growth, as well as to support the well-being of and the person within the therapist.
Neathery is a Certified Body Trust® Provider and has served as a past President of Central Texas Eating Disorder Specialists, a past board member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health, and a past board member and DEI Committee Chair of Austin Group Psychotherapy Society. When they aren’t working with the Ample + RootED Community, Neathery loves yoga and meditation, social justice activism, movies, starting and never finishing books, hiking, and spending time with their wife, pups, family, and friends.
"I see this community as a group of leaders in the body liberation movement, and my dearest wish is that this will allow us as a community to impact and reform our industry and our society as a whole.
I would love for you to join us!"
I have only started learning about body liberation and shedding the diet-culture based framework. Is the Ample + RootED Community still for me?
Absolutely! No matter where you are in your personal and professional journey, there is a place for you in the Ample + RootED Community. If you’d like a deeper dive into learning about eating disorders from an anti-oppressive framework, please consider joining our Foundations program.
I am new to the mental health field in general, but I want to work with a more liberated framework. Is it okay that I don’t have a lot of experience yet?
Of course! All experience levels are welcome.
I've been in this field for awhile now. Is this Community for me?
Definitely! This Community is curated to be accessible to all levels of experience and especially so for those who have been doing this work for some time.
Will I get CEUs by participating in the Ample + RootED Community?
After completing an evaluation for each webinar, you will receive a certificate of completion. Most licensing boards should accept this. However, we are in the process of becoming an approved CEU provider.
Is the Ample +RootED Community just for therapists and therapists in training?
We tailor our education to professionals who provide psychotherapy services, though we welcome all professional backgrounds!
What if I join and find out it's not for me?
We want everyone to feel a deep connection to our community and know that it's not for everybody. We offer a 30 day trial where you can get a full refund if you are not satisfied. We also have a flexible cancellation policy where members can cancel at any time without any fees.
It's incredibly important to us at Ample + Rooted to provide accessible consultation and training. As a fulfillment of this commitment, we offer a virtual space for those who desire more learning in the field of eating disorders, dieting, body shame, fat liberation and Health at Every Size®.
Learn MoreWhether or not you seek to specialize in treating eating disorders, it’s likely you’ve had a client in your office struggling with food, exercise and/or body shame. Eating disorders are prevalent in our society and are a highly fatal mental health diagnosis, second to opioid use disorder. Astonishingly, comprehensive and accurate training and education are minimal.
