Eating disorders are one of the most fatal mental health struggles, recently only being surpassed in fatality to opioid use disorder. Most providers have a certain level of fear and hesitation to working with clients with eating disorders due to this heightened medical complexity.
This Circle will place emphasis on addressing the unique challenges that arise in providing care for individuals with severe eating disorders, such as managing medical complications, navigating ethical dilemmas, and fostering effective therapeutic alliances. We'll explore case studies, discuss anti-oppressive treatment planning, and offer support to providers who hold tender space for their clients.
